Move your stock to greener pastures!

Cast for us by Barry McClelland of Railway Recollections, this is probably the most highly detailed 19th-century stock car ever offered as a kit in HO scale, with 300-odd bolts to make sure it will never fall apart on you.  The prototype was designed by Santa Fe Master Car Builder George Hackney, and the AT&SF and its subsidiaries bought 774 of them between 1886 and 1888.  The last of these AT&SF cars were retired in 1925. The Colorado Midland Railway, with numerous ex-Santa Fe men among its officers, bought 25 of these cars from the St. Charles Car Company in 1887. The Paducah, Tennessee and Alabama Railway and the Chicago, Kansas City and Texas Railway had very similar cars built by St. Charles.
